I am currently working as the Senior Robotics Engineer at Aurelius Systems. Before that, I spent two years as a Robotics Algorithms and Controls Systems Engineer at Intuitive Surgical developing the next generation of surgical robots. I earned my PhD from the University of Michigan in 2023, advised by Dr. Elliott Rouse in the Neurobionics Lab. I got my B.S. in MechE from the Georgia Institute of Technology. My research focus has been on both human interaction with powered exoskeletons, in particular the perception and value of exoskeleton benefits, and the design of new exoskeleton controllers designed for outdoor usage.
Besides formal research work, I’ve also enjoyed working on a variety of fun side projects to learn new concepts, such as language recognition and text generation using ML transformers. I’m also an avid fan of physical exercise, including weightlifting, yoga, and pole.
